Le 11 septembre 2024, le ministère de l’Enseignement supérieur, de la Recherche et de l’Innovation du Burkina Faso a annoncé une suspension immédiate des recrutements dans plusieurs filières de sciences infirmières et obstétricales au sein des Institutions Privées d’Enseignement Supérieur (IPES). Cette mesure, qui concerne les cursus de Licence et de Master, a été officiellement justifiée par des raisons d’ordre public.
Les détails de cette suspension révèlent une portée étendue. En effet, les filières de Licence en sciences infirmières et obstétricales, ainsi que plusieurs spécialisations, sont concernées. Parmi celles-ci, on trouve les sciences infirmières, la maïeutique, la santé de la reproduction, ainsi que des options spécifiques telles que la santé sexuelle et reproductive, la kinésithérapie et la réadaptation. Du côté des formations en Master, les sciences obstétricales avec l’option santé sexuelle et reproductive sont également touchées.
Le professeur Adjima Thiombiano, en charge du ministère, a précisé que cette décision s’impose aux IPES. Ces dernières, ayant déjà procédé à l’inscription d’étudiants pour l’année académique 2024-2025, se voient dans l’obligation de rembourser intégralement les frais de scolarité perçus. Cependant, un point rassurant pour les étudiants déjà engagés dans ces cursus : ils pourront continuer leur formation jusqu’à son terme, sans être affectés par cette mesure.
La mise en garde est claire. Les institutions qui ne respecteraient pas cet arrêté s’exposent à des sanctions sévères, conformément à la réglementation en vigueur au Burkina Faso. Il s’agit d’un signal fort envoyé aux établissements privés pour garantir le respect des normes et éviter toute perturbation dans la gestion des filières sensibles telles que celles liées à la santé.
